RMB Latitudes 2025
23 - 25 May 2025
Shepstone Gardens, Johannesburg
RMB Latitudes Art Fair returns to Johannesburg, for its third edition. Brought to you by the team behind Latitudes Online, and in partnership with Rand Merchant Bank, the fair offers visitors a unique art experience that brings together the art community from across the continent and diaspora.
Over the course of the Fair, galleries and artists from across Africa showcase their art throughout Shepstone Gardens, a magnificent three-acre property, and visitors are invited to discover and explore all corners of the indoor-outdoor venue, as they wander through marble halls, secret gardens and rooftop pavilions, enjoying a diverse programme of exhibitions, talks and more.
“With tickets selling out, there was a sense in the air that this was a must-do event, which is extraordinary, given it was the inaugural one.” - Sunday Times
Drawing a diverse audience to Johannesburg’s iconic Shepstone Gardens, the message was clear: There is appetite for a re-envisioned, immersive zone of creative exchange for the art community.
Our mission is to create a transformed, collaborative and uniquely African art ecosystem. One which is inclusive, accessible and uniquely African.
“What an incredible fair – I came away feeling inspired by the elegant experience, the beautiful venue, the professional team, and most importantly, delighted with our sales and high-calibre new contacts.” - Angela Shaw, Director, KZNSA Gallery

The Faces of RMB Latitudes 2025: Artists, Collectors, Curators
Each year, RMB Latitudes Art Fair brings together the many voices that shape the African art ecosystem. This year, in the leadup to the Fair, we produced a video campaign to shine a spotlight on six such voices.
These intimate, behind-the-scenes portraits reveal not only the passion that drives the art world forward, but also the deep networks of care, connection and collaboration that underpin it. Through personal reflections, studio visits, collection walkthroughs and candid conversation, the series captures the rich interplay between creation, curation and collecting – and how each role helps build a vibrant, sustainable cultural landscape.
The campaign celebrates diversity not only in profession, but in voice and vision. From emerging to established, each participant represents a vital part of the Fair’s ecosystem and reminds us that art is not just made, but nurtured, championed and contextualised.
Shot on location in Johannesburg and Cape Town, the campaign was created to generate excitement in the lead-up to the Fair, while also offering a more reflective moment to connect with the stories and people behind the artworks. These videos were shared across social media and the Fair’s digital platforms, expanding the reach of RMB Latitudes and reinforcing our commitment to accessibility, education and community.
Whether you’re an artist, a buyer, or simply a lover of art, we invite you to watch the full series online and discover the many faces – and forces – that make RMB Latitudes a truly collaborative and inspiring celebration of contemporary African art.
